Nokia to release music service in Australia (April 18, 2008)

With the great influx of new artists recently, we will try to keep the Anytist news & promotions more current. As part of this, we will post music-related links and news from time to time.

Apparently Nokia is in the works to release a music subscription service in Australia. It will allow downloads of songs to your Nokia cellphone. The songs are in Windows Media format with DRM.

What do you think? Do they have any chance to compete? Are cellphone-based music stores the way of the future? Is it smart to release yet another service based on a DRM-format when many larger stores are moving away from DRM?

 

Forum spam (April 16, 2008)

Sorry to everyone exposed to the massive amount of spam attached to one of the old news posts. Our forums are usually not so busy, so I guess we had gone a little lax in our screening. We will try to do better in the future. Should you nevertheless find spam that have been lying around for days, please report it by e.g. emailing us.

 

Anytist logo gear available (April 4, 2008)

Sorry for the long time without a news update. Lately we have been going through every inch of our service to pin down what we can do better. Your input as users are of course also very welcome (either email us or post in the forums.) Some great improvements of the site are on their way during the upcoming year.

We have also set up a cafepress shop where one can buy lots of gear with our nice anytist logo :)

Video advertisements, and more... (November 25, 2007)

Last week we finally got our new video advertisements uploaded: Anytist video advertisements. Watch them, enjoy, and spread them :). A number of other updates to various sections are also in the works for generating more external interest to our website and services.

In further news we just got informed that we are now linked on Tens of Thousands of Legal Music Downloads, an excellent service provided by Michael David Crawford where you can find other places to discover great new independent music.

 

New Sign up form in the Artist´s section (July 3, 2007)

Hello!
Tonight we´ve released a new version of the Sign up/Edit artist info form in the Artist´s section. We hope you like the new design. The new form gives you a better overview of your artist information and instructions of how to use it. We also felt it was time to remove the "Beta"-comment in the header even in the artist´s section. That means the whole Anytist Website is officially released! We will now move on to improve the web site. If you have any particular desires, please let us know.
