The holidays are coming, and with that, people will want Christmas-themed music. Because of this, we make the following announcement: Artists, please share your best Christmas music with the listeners of Anytist, to add to the Christmas spirit.

 

Anytist vs. Spotify (November 23, 2009)

We noted during the week that Spotify in Sweden paid Lady Gaga and her song writer ~ €220 Euro for 1 million played songs...

Is this fair compensation? Anytist gives artists a ridiculous 1'000 times more per download than that! With one million downloads, that would have been €200'000.

(Ok, to be fair, one download is probably listened to more than once, but even if one song is played e.g. 10 times on average, they would have earned 100 times more, or €20'000!)

 

Some updates on the new site change (November 16, 2009)

To keep you updated on what is happening, we are preparing a framework that allows us to use more servers and accelerate downloads, so that you can get your music much faster than before.

 

Big site change on the way (November 9, 2009)

Just to keep you updated; we are very intensely working on a complete site update that will upgrade both the look and feel of the website. Sorry for the long delays, but it will be worth it :)
